Each episode of The Days chronicles a 24-hour period. In the pilot, it's "Day #1,142" in 15-year-old Cooper Day's online journal, the one he's keeping to count the days until his "liberation" - graduation from high school in his hometown of Philadelphia. Cooper thinks his family is "spinning too fast in too many directions," and he's right. Dad Jack is an attorney practicing law for a pharmaceutical giant who hates his job. Mom Abby has just reentered the work force as the star creative director of a big ad agency. Seventeen-year-old sister Natalie is the perfect kid who's a soccer champ, a straight "A" student, prom queen, and girlfriend to the school's football star. And little brother Nathan is an eight-year-old child genius who suffers from crippling anxiety attacks. But everything changes on that one day. Jack Day gets fed up with his job and abruptly quits. Little does he know that some news about to be revealed at home makes this is the worst time for a job search. Natalie might have been the perfect child who never did anything wrong once- but now she gets some terrifying news that will make her anything but, she's pregnant. Her mother also gets some shocking news- she's pregnant too.

Now with both his mom and his sister pregnant, his dad unemployed, and his brother having the biggest panic attack of his young live- in a world where he was always the weird one, he just became the most normal.

LAST EPISODE RECAP
_______________________________________________

The 2nd:
In this episode, Cooper gets a chance to be in the spotlight, something which Natalie resents. He wins a national writing contest, and gains the attention of Natalie's best friend Emma(Courtnee Draper). In school, Natalie also has to deal with now being noticed as "pregnant girl" instead of popular girl. Even though Jack quit his job to be a high school teacher, he is spending his time in pj's around the local coffee shops. At work, Abby must mask her being pregnant in order to save her job. Nathan has to learn to play soccer(and fast), in order to show his new "friend" that he is tough.

The 3rd (Day 1,385)
The center of this episode is around Cooper keeping his journalistic integrity. He doesn't want to write the phony crap he's writing for the paper, but he wants to keep his slighty wayward relationship with Emma. Natalie is questioning whether to keep the baby or abort it, and Abby and Jack are having yet more troubles with they're marriage. Cooper suspects Jack may be smoking pot, and Abby is questioning her decision of marrying Jack. Nathan is set up on a play date with the boy he punched out. He tries to get gangsta with this guy, but winds up just getting grounded for calling his mom a biatch. The episode is centered around decisions. What you would've happene if you had done something.
