Ava Gregory (Lori Loughlin) was exactly where she wanted to be in life. In her thirties,
with a close-knit circle of friends, a great house in a beautiful California beach town and a growing career as a fashion
designer, the last thing on her mind was settling down and starting a family. That all changed the day her sister and brother-in-law
died in a car accident and left Ava to care for her three children.
Now Ava and her three best friends have to try to pull together and form a surrogate family for
the three kids. Though the transition from their rural Iowa farm to a hip California beach community may have been easier
than they expected, they still have a lot to get through. Sixteen year old Bradin (McCartney) is happy to step in and help
out his younger siblings but also has his own teen angst to deal with. Twelve year old Nikki has always loved her aunt but
sometimes resents Ava for her attempts to feel her sisters shoes. Eight year old Brendan has enough to deal with trying
to figure out the deal with life and death.
Ava's toughest support group will turn out to be her group of loyal friends. Johnny (Shawn Christian)
is Ava's former flame and even after their breakup they've remained really close. He's an ambitious real estate broker who
hasn't found his true calling his life and is very happy to step in and help Ava where ever she needs it, and starts to act
as a father figure to the kids. Another male role model of a different kind is Jay, an Australian surfer with an intense
case of Peter Pan Syndrome who owns a local surf shop, though he's in no way a business man. He's got only one goal in life-
to the find the perfect wave. Because of his laid back attitude he instantly relates to Bradin. He also introduces him to
a young talented surfer named Erica, who in Bradin's eyes embodies perfect California beauty.
Ava's biggest support will end up being her best friend- and new business partner, Susannah. She's
there for whatever Ava needs and although she has no more experience than Ava when it comes to raising kids she never questions
her friends motives to provide the kids with a good home. Susannah will end up being the perfect level-headed balance to Ava's
more emotional parenting.
Through the coming season Ava will learn that is really does take a whole village, or in her case
a hip beach comunity, to raise kids.

Due to the fact that Jesse is appearing on numerous soundtracks,
and taking up half the news, we've created this section for info on his music.
Jesse is officially the king of soundtracks, another single "Because
You Live" is on the Princess Diaries 2 soundtrack, scheduled for release on Aug 3 (the movie opens
Aug 11).
Jesse's new single "Good Life" can be heard on the soundtrack
for Disney's new tv movie Stuck in the Suburbs which ironically stars Kay Panabaker (Nikki)'s sister.
You can see the video periodically as it airs on Disney during commercial breaks in the afternoon and evening.
The soundtrack to A Cinderella Story (starring Hilary Duff) features a song from
Jesse called "The Best Day of My Life." The CD also features new songs from Hilary and her
sister Haylie, as well as Josh Kelly and more.
Another song "Beautiful Soul" will appear on the That's So Raven soundtrack
along with Lindsay Lohan, Jump 5, Stacie Orrico, and four songs from Raven herself.

Make sure and keep an eye out on What I Like About You
(WB, Fri at 8/7c), Jesse will be making a guest appearance, and then singing his song Beautiful Soul, which is apparently
a big hit with the Radio Disney crowd.
DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF SOUNDTRACKS JESSE IS APPEARING
ON, WE'VE CREATED A MUSIC SECTION.
The WB has just announced that Summerland will be enjoying
a second season. After the summer run is done, you can expect to see 13 new episodes of Summerland most
likely midseason. We'll keep you posted with more news when it becomes available.
Kay Panabaker (Nikki) has a twelve episode stint on the new Disney channel show "Phil
of the Future." The show airs daily, check our local listings for specific times.
