What if you had the power to relive the past and change the future?
For Tru Davis, it's not just a possibility.... it's a calling.
Tru Davis life changed forever the day she took up a job in the
city morgue, and a patient talked to her. Patients talking isn't so weird, except when you're in a morgue and their dead.
Now she has the power to save the lives of the dead by reliving days, which makes having a life a bit more complicated.
Her brother Harison is always needing True to bail him out of trouble,
and is one of the only people who knows her secret. In the first season finale he needed her in a different way- he was the
one she had to save. When he became a surogate big brother to a young boy his crazy dad assumed Harrison was there to see
the boys mother and shot him. Tru saved him, at a price.
A new worker at the morgue, Jack, has a secret just like Tru. She
suspects that he has the power to relieve days- but her supisions are confirmed in a whole different way. He's the exact oppoisite
of her. She relives days to help people live- he relives to make sure they die. Though Tru saved her brother, it cost another
his life. According to Jack, everytime you save a life you alter the future- sometimes for the worse. He works to make sure
someone dies. Thanks to his interfearance, Tru's boyfrined Luke lost his life, and he didn't ask for help.
Tru knew for sometime that her mother had the same gift as her,
and that it probably had something to do with her strange death when Tru was young. In the finale, it's revelaed that her
father also has the power- of Jack, and he was responsible for her mothers death.

FOX has announced that they are planning to release season one
of Tru Calling on DVD, no word yet on a time frame or any more info. When it's announced we'll let you know.
Tru Calling will start its second season in November.
Sadly, FOX is not planning on showing
any reruns this summer.
FOX has moved Tru Calling to Thursdays at 9/8c, hoping
to get some viewers from it's lead in, The OC.
