Welcome to the OC bitch!!

When Ryan Atwood, a juvinielle delinquent from the wrong side of the tracks is charged with stealing a car he's assigned Sandy Cohen as his public defender. Once he's out he goes home to find out that his mother has left him and the only person he has to call is Sandy, who takes him home to his life of luxury in Orange County, California.

He's at once befriended by Sandy's nerdy son Seth, who's known as the town geek. Sandy's wife Kirsten however, isn't so thrilled with the idea that she has a criminal staying under her roof and befriending her son. As far as a love interest goes, the next door neighbor Marissa at once catches Ryan's eye, but things are complicated by her longtime boyfriend Luke.

As much drama as the teenagers have, the adults have just as much. Jimmy (Marissa's dad) and Kirsten (Seth's mom) we're high school sweethearts and even though their both now married (Kirsten happily, Jimmy not as much) it's more than obvious he's still hung up on her. As his wife says "you think it's an accident they ended up living next door to each other?"
After many fistfights , the burning down of a model home, and couple cop cars and a gun shot leading to Luke's trip to the emergency room, it's decided that Ryan can stay in Orange County, much drama promised. More like a prime time/ teenage soap opera The OC promises an addiction way better than anything illegal.

THE OC      NEWS
______________________________________________________

The second season on The OC will start on Nov 4, 04, in its new time slot of Thursdays at 8/7c before Tru Calling.

Now available from Scholastic Books is the novelization of The OC. The new books will document the series, starting with the first one, titled "The Outsider" with Ryans picture on the cover. It will tell about Ryan's arrival to The OC.

Creator Josh Schwartz told USA Today that they were keeping everything about next season very tight lipped but he did say that Summer will return to her evil ways, and "we're going to slow down the storytelling some this year. There won't necessarily have to be a brawl at every black tie affair."

Bad News: Dosen't look like Haylie and Jimmys relationship will last long. Amanda Righetti who plays Haylie has gotten a series regular part on FOX's new show North Shore which premires Monday, June 14 at 8/7c.
