the cast, he will play Diego the pool boy.
-- Michael Cassidy will join the cast as a recurring
role. He will play Zach, a character that could possibly be a love interest for Summer.
-- When Ryan comes back, he will find Marrisa is
a big old mess. She's depressed, and has a lot of things bottled up inside, and is also has a new boyfriend.
-- Thier have been some quotes and comments from the cast that lead
us to believe that Seth and Summer are no longer together.
-- Jimmy will also be coming from a dark dysfunctional
place.
-- Anna will not be back, but Theresa
"absolutely" will, Hailey will also have a "brief stint," as well as Sandy's mom, the nana.
-- Kirsten has started to reach a breaking point
with both her boys gone.
EP 201: The Distance (Nov.4)
-- Construction workers are busy remodeling the Cohens' house.
Sandy and Kirsten still live there, but their relationship is not good at the moment. A new character named Diego will appear.
EP. 202: Uknown Title (Fall 04)
-- Cops take Caleb into custody. Ryan meets with his new academic
advisor at Harbor School who hands him his new schedule and talks about what Ryan could study in college. Seth and Sandy also
appear.
EP 203: The Achy Breaky... (Fall 2004)
-- Seth sees Summer and her father having dinner with Summer's new
friend, Zach. He and Dr. Roberts are hitting it off... even if Zach talks superheroes ;) Ryan and Lindsay are paired
together as lab partners in a Physics class. Marissa also appears in the episode.
-- Seth is working at a Bait Shop in order to get tickets (for a
show we assume) for Summer. He's not doing it to win her back but to show he can do something good for others... such as for
Summer and her new friend. His boss is a 17-year-old girl wearing a retainer who got kicked out of school and is
now working full-time.
-- Ryan goes to a girl's house (Lindsay) to tell her he should have
gone to the dance with her (assuming that she asked and he said no). She says that anyway they wouldn't have worked out because
they are from two different worlds. Later that night, Lindsay drops by the poolhouse.
The follwing is a leaked script from this episode (thanks to FanBolt
galleries for it)
_________
Ryan rings a doorbell. A beat later, it's opened by Lindsay wearing
sweats, dinosaur-feet slippers, clearly ready for bed. She looks at Ryan in shock.
RYAN: Hey, I –-
(He stops, looks down at her dinosaur slippers.) LINDSAY: They're not mine. RYAN:
Okay, that's –- LINDSAY: What're you doing here? (He takes a breath, gathers himself.) RYAN:
I should've gone to the dance with you. LINDSAY: What? RYAN: I should've gone to
the dance with you. I wanted to go with you. LINDSAY: That's why you're here? To tell me that? RYAN:
And I thought, maybe we could do something. Hang out. LINDSAY: You want to hang out. Now. RYAN:
Yeah. If you're not busy. (She ignores the joke, and looks off, thinking, then shakes her head.) LINDSAY:
No, I'm sorry. RYAN: Well, tomorrow –- LINDSAY: No, this just isn't going
to work, Ryan. This is the problem, see. Dinner and a movie on Friday, I understand. I can put it in my palm pilot, I know
what it is. Showing up on my doorstep at ten-thirty saying you want to "hang out?" I don't know what that is. RYAN:
Fine. We'll go to dinner and a movie next Friday. Write it down. LINDSAY: But something will happen,
I know –- RYAN: What? LINDSAY: You. You'll happen. You're drama. I'm sorry,
but you are. And I don't want drama. RYAN: I don't understand, you invited me –- LINDSAY:
I know, I had a moment of weakness because I do like you. But I should've listened to my instincts. I mean look at me. I'm
the girl in dino slippers who thinks Margaret Thatcher is a good dating model. You're the guy who steals cars and gets in
fights. It's sweet that you came here, really. But it's good we didn't go to the dance together. It never would've worked.
I'm sorry. (And she closes the door on him.)
INT. COHEN POOL HOUSE – NIGHT (N3) Ryan's
lying on bed, reading The Great Fire by Shirley Hazzard. A knock on the door. He opens it. It's Lindsay.
LINDSAY:
I'm having another moment of weakness. RYAN: Come in. (She steps inside. He closes the door.) LINDSAY:
After you left, I tried to read, but I… see, I do this thing where I put a red dot at the bottom of every page to measure
how efficiently I'm reading. Sometimes I'll have to read a page two or three times, and there'll be two or three dots. Well,
after you left, I made eleven red dots at the bottom of the page. Eleven! I've never made eleven dots in my life! (stops,
looks at him) Everything I told you is true. I want to do well at Harbor. I am afraid of too much drama. But sometimes, my
mouth starts moving before my heart can catch up, and I wish someone would just shut me up – (Ryan steps forward
and silences her with a kiss.) LINDSAY: (CONT'D) Yeah, like that. RYAN: I know something
else we can do that doesn't involve a lot of talking
