The popular teen series about teenagers in New York's Upper East Side, Gossip Girl by Cecily Von Zeliwegger are set to be turned into a movie due out in early 2005. The movie, which has only revealed the name Lindsay Lohan (to play snooty Blair), if successful, could possibly turn into a franchise since the books are NY Times Bestsellers and have several in the series (the 5th is due in May). Think a young sex in the city with not as much sex and more luxury. We'll let you know more as we get it.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the well loved YA series about four best friends who go off on their own summer adventures and pass along a pair of magical pants that magically fits all their shapes, is also set to come out in early 2005. So far Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) and Alexis Bledel (Gillmore Girls) are the only cast members that have been released. We'll keep you updated.
